Phone holder

Ok I've done the phone holder it was really fun, but very useful heres how to do it:

First get your plug you can use one like this...

or this...

draw round the plug on the container and cut it out.

Next cut a bowl shape on the front. Also cut off the lid and any other bits.

Make sure the plug fits if not trim a bigger hole.

Trace the hole on to a sheet of A4 paper.

Then lay the pot on top and wrap the sides up.

You may want to cut a bit of the waste paper of.

Next fold the end up like you would when wrapping a present.

Then wrap the paper and trim of any waste paper.

Next decorate you could use ribbons, bows, stickers, pens anytthing you like.

This is the finished thing.

You could use wrapping paper or paint it instead.
So what do you think?

Bookmarks

I've been busy again making bookmarks! I have so much paper to use aswell as stickers and things so i thought i'd use it up.

 This is my book mark.
This is my little sisters book mark.
This is anybodys im selling a few.

This one is for my dad.
This ones for any one to so I can add a name.

How I did it:

I cut a piece of card with a strimmer about 5.5cm by 17.5cm.
Then I cut a bit of patterned paper the same size and used double sided tape to stick it on.
After that I stuck on some decoration you could use ribbons, sequins, jems, or put a bit of card in the middle and put a name on anything you like.
Then your done.
I find it uses up a load of bits but makes a lovely handmade present.

So what do you thing of my bookmarks?

Jubilee cupcakes

I had so much fun yesterday at the street party. As I said I made some diamond jubilee cakes. Here is the recipie:

Ingredients:
150g (5 1/2oz) unsalted butter, softened.
150g (5 1/2oz) caster sugar.
150g (5 1/2oz) self rasing flour.
3 medium eggs, whisked.
2.5ml (1/2tsp) vanilla extract.
Should make 20 I made 18 because I filled them up quite a lot.

Line 20 papercases in to 2 tins and pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F, gas mark 4.

Place butter, sugar, self-raising flour, eggs and vanilla extract in a bowl and beat with a wooden spoon until pale and creamy.

Divide between the paper cases. bake for 15 minutes until golden and just firm. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool.

For the butter cream icing:

Ingredients:

250g icing sugar, sifted.
80g unsalted butter.
25ml whole milk.
A couple of drops of vanilla extract.

Take the icing sugar in to a big bowl then add the butter and cream together.
Then add the milk and vanilla extract and beat together. Then pipe, spread or blob the icing on.

Then decorate however you like. You could use fruit, glitter, sprinkles, sweets any thing you like.

These are mine.
Close up.
